festival season essentials: what to pack for your next happy camper adventure
Fina FunkShare
hey my funky adventurers!
I dunno know about you, but festival season is like my fav time of the year - I mean, who doesn't love live music, dancing all day and night, camping with your besties, all wrapped up in one weekend??
with festival season almost here, whether you're heading to a mountain music festival, an outdoor rave, or a festival weekend camping adventure by the ocean, what you pack makes all the difference between a good time and THE BEST TIME EVER!
so your first question, especially if this is your first time we've got some tricks and tips for livin' your best life while livin' large at the outdoor festival!
the clothing essentials
layers are everything at outdoor festivals. mornings are cold, afternoons are warm, and nights can go either way.
start with a solid base – a crop hoodie or long-sleeve tee you can tie around your waist when the sun hits, and throw back on when the stars come out. pick one statement piece and build everything else around it. let your outfit do the talking so you can focus on the music 🎶
you can do a lot with a crop hoodie - tie it around your waist when the sun hits, throw it back on when the stars come out.
add a graphic tee, wide-leg jeans or cargo pants that move with you, a trucker hat for sun protection and keeping your hair clean(ish!) while still looking good, and boots you don't mind getting dusty.
our picks:
- a crop hoodie for the layer that does everything
- a graphic tee, funky tank or baby tee for the warm hours
- wide-leg jeans or cargo pants that move with you
- a trucker hat for sun protection that still looks good
- chunky boots or sneakers you can walk, run and dance in all day!
the accessories that matter
keep it simple but intentional. a crossbody bag that fits your essentials, sunglasses that won't fall off when you're dancing, and a reusable water bottle.
the rest is just noise. but if you did want to wear one of our super cool trucker hats, we ain't complainin'!
one thing that is always handing when you're free-flowing around the festival grounds is being hands-free so yes, we're gonna say it, it's hard to beat the ol' bum-bag!
the funk + fina festival formula
pick one statement piece and build around it. whether that's the discoball crop hoodie, a happy camper tee, or a colourblock trucker hat – let one piece do the talking and keep everything else clean and simple.
