also, the moon rises differently here – is it bigger, brighter, more present? I dunno but I do know that once you start paying attention to it, it's hard to stop

case in point

like, I'm writing this and it's a new moon tomorrow at 1pm. so what does that mean? well I've started tracking the same feelings that I repeat each month, and to me, a new moon means the start of something new. you are become whole again, after a dark pause

I'm always saying to funk, and my bestie lushy: ohhh full moon coming, make sure to take an extra breath when getting frustrated, or ahh it's a new moon, no wonder I feel quiet and tired

now I can't help but keep a look-out at the present moon phase. I notice the differences I feel at different time of the month (ie: moon).

how to work with the moon

you don't need rituals, spells nor crystals (though we're not against them). just awareness. how do you... feeeel? your feelings aren't you, but they are useful guides to what affects you

notice how you feel at each phase. journal. spend time outside under the sky. let the cycle remind you that everything moves in rhythms – including you

give yourself a break if you aren't feelin' it, but also spread some of your go-go-go energy of the full moon to your down times so you don't go cray cray either
